Tribute to Dato' Lee Chong Wei!

The match was electrifying. There was tremendous tension, with each point proved vital in his bid to become the first ever badminton player to win a gold medal in the Olympic and Malaysia's badminton history.

HOWEVER, his dream was crushed as Lin dan, also know as the Super Dan continued to be his nemesis. 

Lin dan, on his gold medal point against Dato' Lee, reacted so much so that, as the shuttlecock dropped behind the line, he reeled away towards the crowd, jumping up and down with so much of joy. He is the ONLY player who managed to retain the title that he has won in Beijing 4 years ago. Kudos to you, Super Dan!

As for Dato' Lee Chong Wei, you are always our national hero. You have made us proud! You are the pride of our nation. We will always continue to support you in many years to come. Don't give up hope, just like how you didn't give up every single point against Lin Dan.
